The countdown begins..
About 6 months ago I thought I needed an overseas trip in my horizon; so I assessed my savings capacity and things looked good. Around the same time my sister was making noises about a trip to Croatia. This was my chance. There is no one better in the world to travel with, than my sister.
Basically, all I need to do is show up at the airport. She has the entire leg of the trip we share figured out to the hour. All the hotels are booked and the schedule is "interesting", yet "relaxed".
I've been brave though and organised 2 weeks in the UK before we meet up in Istanbul. I'll have a couple of days in London, drive north to Preston and see my relatives, then a quick flight over to Dublin for two weeks of solo time getting back to my Irish roots. I've always thought a bit of a road trip through Ireland would be a cool thing to do, and plenty of people have said its one of the places to go.
9 days later ill arrive back in Dublin after touring through Galway, Limerick, Killarney and Kilkenny. One flight later and I'm in Istanbul to begin three weeks touring Turkey. All in all it sounds like a good trip, different, but good.
So, I leave on April 22 and arrive back on May 28.
